BARCELONA - Nokia CEO of the company praised the cooperation with Microsoft. They said that such cooperation will yield huge profits for the company was Finnish mobile phone maker.
Previously, Nokia last week announced that they will cooperate with Microsoft to develop their mobile phones, which now wants to catch up from other manufacturers for the category of smart phones. Similarly, as quoted from The Economic Times, Monday (02/14/2011).
"Microsoft is contributing to the monetary value of Nokia," said Nokia CEO, Stephen Elope, in a presentation at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
"Some people interpret that the benefits of this agreement will be worth millions or tens of millions of dollars, “said Elope, who was an officer at Microsoft before joining Nokia.
Elope also said that the agreement value is measured by the billions, not millions.
When many people see in this agreement that Nokia relies on Microsoft Windows-based smart phone to her, Elope said that Microsoft also hopes to Nokia for location-based services.
